We're exploring, not monetizing
TableAI is an experimental project. Right now, our focus is on learning — not monetizing. We want people to try it, stress-test it, and help us figure out what works.
Today that includes the AI itself. You don't need an Anthropic account or an API key to run a session.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Anthropic API key?
No. The AI is included: sign in and start a session. If you would rather run sessions on your own Anthropic account, add your key in Settings; Anthropic then bills you directly at their rates, and you can switch back to the included AI at any time.
How much does a session cost?
Nothing, right now. For reference, a session with five participants typically uses $0.50–$2.00 of AI, which TableAI covers. If you use your own key, that is roughly what Anthropic bills you, and the Usage page shows the cost per session either way.
If I add my own API key, is it safe?
Yes. Your key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage, never shown to other users and never sent to any third party. It is only used on the server to make AI calls for your sessions, and you can remove it in Settings.
Will pricing change in the future?
It may, as the project grows. Right now everything is free and every feature is included. If that changes, this page will say so.
